Nanny Training and Networking

(How do you support my nanny?)

Nanny PlaygroupMom's Best Friend knows that our nannies can sometimes feel isolated, so we work hard to provide various opportunities to learn additional skills, network with other nannies, share ideas, and celebrate their profession.

Nanny Professional Development: Before placement, Mom's Best Friend nannies attend a 4-hour professional development course for nannies to sharpen their skills and knowledge. Included in the seminar are relevant topics such as: interview techniques, developing your portfolio, age appropriate activities for your charges, appropriate discipline, communication with parent employers, safety, and much more. The seminar is a free course for all nannies placed through Mom's Best Friend, and attendance is required prior to interviews. The seminar is designed to empower nannies with greater skills and professionalism and to provide families with a higher level of care and service.

Ongoing Nanny Education: From time to time, we offer seminars and training courses, including night nanny training, infant specialist training, and a variety of topics taught by child development experts. If you would like to be notified as courses are offered so that your nanny may attend, please email your Placement Manager.

Nanny Network: Local nannies have the opportunity to be involved in the playgroups, nanny nights out, and Mom's Best Friend-sponsored events such as summer picnics, Annual Nanny Recognition Week, and holiday parties.
